Embodiment

Everything that is true remains true for eternity. But the true only lives in the embodiment of those people who are true themselves. This embodiment makes it tangible and gives it reality. This is how the possible becomes reality and the good becomes truly good.

The gateway to tantra

Dr. Mark Dyczkowski was a shining example of such embodiment and one of the most important scholars of Shiva Tantra at the beginning of the 21st century. I had the honor of learning from him and meeting him in person in Varanasi. Markiji was one of those rare people who uncompromisingly dedicated their entire life to the service of a higher reality. He dedicated his entire life’s breath, as we yogis say, to the exploration of the Goddess.

The most important tantric school after Abhinavagupta is the Trika Tantra. Markiji Dyczkowski built a unique bridge between East and West by not only explaining this extraordinary tradition, but also bringing it to the West in a truly understandable way for the first time. He was a student of Swami Lakshmanjoo and, like Bettina Bäumer, was initiated into this lineage.

Markiji translated and annotated Abhinavagupta’s “Tantraloka”, a magnum opus that explores the essence of Tantra in depth. In Tantraloka, Trika – the tradition of the goddess Parā – is seen as the central element in which all spiritual currents flow together. In addition, he devoted over 20 years of his life to the goddess Kubjikā and was the first to translate the Manthānabhairava Tantra into English. This translation is a vision of the Goddess made eloquent, giving rise to a practice that will bear fruit for many generations to come. I am deeply grateful that I was able to gain access to this tradition through him.

Markiji is of particular importance to our school as he was one of the few scholars who truly understood and could teach tantric meditation as we teach it. Our courses on the Vijñāna Bhairava Tantra are largely based on his knowledge and insights. Markiji opened the soul of the Parā to us and initiated us into a deep understanding of the Trika Tantra.

Thank you Markiji

Thank you, Markiji, for being our friend, our companion and the light at the end of the tunnel of life.

Markiji, our dear friend, talented sitar player and intuitive wanderer of tantric philosophy, left this world in February this year in Varanasi. Shortly before his death, he completed his (unofficial) lectures on the goddess Kubjikā, continued to teach about the Tantraloka and created a community that lovingly preserves and carries on his legacy.

Thank you, Markiji, for opening the door to tantra for us! The divine itself may be eternal, but it only lives and unfolds through embodiment in human beings. In fact, nothing in this world is eternal – because only what can be experienced is real. The truly eternal in the divine needs man, or rather: man needs himself in order to make the divine tangible in the world.

We have Markiji to thank for the rediscovery of the wonderful goddess. He showed us a forgotten ritual, and when we open its door, we feel the breeze of her dance deep in our souls.

Thank you, Markiji, for everything you have given us!

You might be interested to know that WAFF (Vienna Employment Promotion Fund) will cover 50% of your training costs with us under certain conditions. However, very few people are aware that almost everyone (except students) is eligible for at least €500 from WAFF.

This benefit, called “Bildungskonto“, has recently been increased from €300 to €500 — one of the better adjustments for inflation 😉.

All of our training programs and workshops qualify for this funding. It’s advisable to contact WAFF before your training to secure this financial support.

Transformational Hatha Yoga

Transformational Hatha Yoga

In addition to our focus on Kundalini Yoga , wealso teach Transformational Hatha Yoga according to the teachings of Swami Vidyanand. In this blog post, we would like to introduce you to the special power of Hatha Yoga , especially through the awakening and purification of the five Koshas – the five sheaths of human consciousness.

The five Koshas

In yogic philosophy, the human being is regarded as a unity of five different layers or sheaths, which are referred to as koshas. These koshas include the physical body, the energy sheath, the mental sheath, the wisdom sheath or sheath of true knowledge and the bliss sheath.

Transformational Hatha Yoga aims to awaken all five koshas, to elevate and transform the self through them . Those who recognize the levels of consciousness within themselves, recognizes the nature of the world and thus the divine.

Annamaya Kosha – The physical shell

The Annamaya Kosha is the outermost sheath and refers to the physical body. In Transformational Hatha Yoga, asanas (postures) are practiced, to strengthen, stretch and cleanse the body. Through the physical practice, blockages are released and the self self dissolves its identification with the body , This is the transformation of the body and the discovery of the subtle sheath, pranayama kosha. This practice is the basis for working on the finer koshas.

Pranamaya Kosha – The energy sheath

The pranamaya kosha refers to the life energy (prana) that flows through the body. Pranayama (breathing techniques) is a central element in Transformational Hatha Yoga, which aims to, to calm the flow of energy and release the consciousness from attachment to the energy. The energy is also strengthenedthrough targeted breathing exercises, which leads to greater vitality and an increased energy level.

Manomaya Kosha – The mental sheath

The Manomaya Kosha encompasses the mind and emotions. Brahmari – the expansion of the mind, as well as meditation and mindfulness exercises play a key role, to calm the mind and release mental attachments. Transformational Hatha Yoga promotes mental clarity and therefore emotional stability, by using techniques to calm the mind and transform negative thought patterns.

Vijnanamaya Kosha – The wisdom sheath

Anandamaya Kosha – The bliss sheath

The Anandamaya Kosha is the deepest sheath and represents the experience the experience of bliss and inner peace. Transformational Hatha Yoga strives to achieve this sheath through a holistic practice, that harmonizes all previous koshas. The experience of Anandamaya Kosha leads to a state of inner state of inner peace and deep joy, that goes beyond ordinary consciousness.

Full Moon Classes in the Studio!

The Gateway to Dreams

The Moon is the gateway to the inner world, the door to dreams and desires. It is also the door behind which we can find peace within ourselves and unity with our dreams. When we make peace with our dreams, nightmares can transform into visions, and our inner divisions can find healing.

Transform your Dreams with the Power of the Moon

The Moon is the gateway to the inner world, the door to dreams and desires. It’s also the door behind which we can find peace with ourselves and unity with our dreams. When we make peace with our dreams, nightmares can be transformed into visions, and our inner divisions can be healed.

Destructive desires arise when we are divided within ourselves—usually because we fear something or desperately want something without truly understanding what it is. Our ignorance is what causes us to fear or desire. In the light of knowledge, everything simply is as it is: death is death, gain is gain, love is love, and pain is pain. There’s no reason to run away from anything.

All things are true and therefore perfect in their own way.

Meditating on the Moon helps us find unity with who we truly are, harmonizing our dreams with reality. We find a home in actual reality, finally experiencing peace with the here and now.

To explore this, every month we offer a special class—a greeting to the Moon, a bath in nectar, sound, and love. These classes are fully dedicated to the Moon and its refreshing rays.

Around the full moon, you can find these classes listed on Eversports. Book online or simply drop by—we’re delighted to welcome you! Join us on this special journey!

Namaste, Clemens

Feldenkrais and Yoga in Vienna

Feldenkrais and Yoga in Vienna

What is the Feldenkrais Method?

The Feldenkrais Method aims to reorganize the connections between mind and body, thereby enhancing physical movement and psychological well-being. In this sense, this powerful method shares similarities with yoga, including Kundalini yoga.

Developed in the mid-20th century by Israeli Moshé Feldenkrais (1904–1984), the Feldenkrais method seeks to improve disrupted or weak connections between the motor functions of the body and the mind, enhancing both physical movement quality and overall well-being. Naturally, we experience ourselves through the body; thus, strengthening the connection between body and mind intensifies our overall experience of the world.

David Gorski of the Feldenkrais Guild of North America claims that the method “reorganizes connections between the brain and body, profoundly affecting physical movement and daily psychological states.” Experienced practitioners also suggest that Feldenkrais can benefit individuals with various conditions, including children with autism and people with multiple sclerosis, by enabling them to rediscover their physical and mental capacities.

How is the Feldenkrais method related to Yoga or Kundalini Yoga?

Feldenkrais shares a core similarity with yoga and Kundalini yoga in creating a space—both physical and internal—for connecting deeply with oneself. Yoga, like Feldenkrais, opens a gateway to enhanced awareness through careful observation and mindful movement, creating a transformative inner experience. This internal space is central in Kundalini yoga, which strongly emphasizes heightened internal awareness.

Everything we are emerges at the moment when our conscious self meets the world. This meeting point is at the heart of every mindful yoga practice and also central to the Feldenkrais method. In this regard, Feldenkrais creates a foundation of mindful awareness and conscious experience.

Yoga primarily utilizes two methods to establish this conscious connection. The first is mindfulness: directing concentration and attention to sensations occurring in the body. This mindful awareness is remarkably similar to the Feldenkrais approach and fosters deeper self-understanding.

The second method, particularly prominent in Kundalini yoga, involves awakening powerful energies within the body—intensity that stimulates and activates awareness through physical sensation and energetic experience. Techniques like bandhas and mudras in Kundalini Yoga intensify this energetic awakening, closely linking them to the tantric tradition of invoking consciousness through powerful sensations.

While the energy-focused method of Kundalini Yoga differs from Feldenkrais, the Feldenkrais method provides an essential foundation that helps practitioners better integrate these powerful experiences. In this sense, Feldenkrais becomes a supportive partner to yoga, grounding the experience in mindful awareness.

Thus, Feldenkrais is an excellent partner to yoga—a foundation for mindful awareness.
