Trika Pūjā
The common initiation into the rule (samayadīkṣā) in the Trika school
9–11 October this year, we will hold the Trika Pūjā – Parāpūjā for the first time in Austria.
This ritual is an initiation into the lineage, as extracted from the Tantrāloka, a special tantric scripture by the scholar and saint Abhinavagupta.
Our teacher Mark Dyczkowski has devoted his entire life to researching Tantra and has discovered this wonderful ritual for us in the ancient Tantras. Raluca Ioana Voicu is one of his closest students; she will guide us through this puja – a very special experience.

What is Trika Pūjā?
The puja is more than just a ritual – it is the initiation into the Trika practice, the worship of the goddess in her triune form. According to the Tantrāloka, participation in the puja and the knowledge it contains is already the initiation. It is Shaktipata – the descent of divine power.
This puja is something special. Only those who are fully aware that they are entering the sound body of the goddess and honouring her should attend – without any desire for monetary gain and without any hidden ulterior motives. Love should be at the centre. These are the conditions that only you can set for yourself.
Apart from that, everyone is welcome. This post is also an invitation to participate, because the goddess wants to step out and live in people’s hearts in her unfolded form. She wants to return from the shadows of oblivion to the centre of life. Come and participate, enter into her mystery.
Structure and organisation of the weekend.
Raluca Ioana Voicu will lead the ritual and the weekend.
We will meet on Friday evening to sing together and enter into the mystery. On Saturday morning, we will discover the theory and practice of Trika – in general terms and also for those who are new to it. We will talk about the background and significance of the practice.
On Saturday evening, we will perform the Trika Pūjā, which can also be understood as an initiation into the lineage, and on Sunday morning there will be a practice session with questions and answers.

Friday 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.: Welcome, chanting mantras together, tea and relaxed arrival
Saturday
08:00: Morning yoga (Kundalini and Hatha)
09:00: Breakfast together
10:00: Introduction to the background and goal of Trika practice
12:00: Exploration of the Wachau region – lunch break
17:00: Parāpūjā Paddhati – communal ritual
Sunday
08:00: Morning yoga (Kundalini and Hatha)
09:00: Communal breakfast
10:00: Mantra practice, questions and answers about Trika Puja
12:00: Closing and thanks – farewell
Price
The retreat/puja itself is free of charge. We open our doors to all participants. However, we do have to charge a fee for accommodation and breakfast.
Accommodation and meals
There are three flats in our Center (Matsya Yoga – Rossatz 12, 3602 Rossatz) that participants can share. If everything is full, participants can either stay at the camping or simply stay overnight in the yoga room. There are no private flats, as too many participants are expected.
A donation is requested for the overnight stay – at your own discretion, you decide what you can give. Breakfast is extra and costs 15 Euros per person for both days, Saturday and Sunday.
There is a kitchen in every flat where everyone can cook at any time. The village of Rossatz has a grocery shop where you can buy food.
